Planalyzer-2 is an advanced software tool for express quantitative analysis and day-to-day schedule/WBS management of risky industrial projects. It also improves new schedule-cost applications (such as JCL) and assesses lower-risk projects (Government, oil/gas etc.) on file-specific basis. Projects are rarely executed as planned, and accurate prediction of their costs and durations is still challenging. Conventional "historical" modeling is based on comparison with similar projects in the past. ![]() For analysis, project activities probability distributions are obtained from expert interviews. Large projects have to be aggregated into Summaries, and the probability distributions are assigned to Summaries or activities close to the critical path. Aggregation and expert interviews (or regression analysis) rely on high professional qualification of experts and analysts. Though well established, this modeling is impractical for dynamic analysis of high-risk competitive edge industrial projects. Planalyzer-2 offers a new execution model creating risk mitigation plans overwhelmingly more quickly and objectively than the existing labor-loaded and subjective routine. The new model calculates milestone uncertainties and risks directly from the project file, the example is presented by a table below:

Tutorials and Tips Planalyzer Tutorial describes product algorithm and major features; the users familiar with conventional "historical" approach and interested in the alternative method of analysis may download the software and test the example "Satellite" project. Those who are more interested in the specifics of risky project analysis and the new algorithm, might read the Tutorial first.
